A series of animal portraits rescued by the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur (PACA) section of the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (LPO).
Founded in 1912, and with some 70,000 members in France, the LPO is an association recognized as being of public utility, acting throughout France to protect biodiversity, in particular animal species and their natural habitats.

A Common swift (Apus apus) fledgling. Nesting in cavities in cliffs or in the interstices of building walls, the chicks are vulnerable to falls from their nests.
